LSE Scholarships: What are they about?
The eligibility requirements and documentation needed for the Scholarships are described below:
1. Undergraduate Support Program at LSE
International students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are unable to cover their educational costs may apply for a scholarship under this program. The sum will vary based on each candidate’s unique situation.

2. JN Tata Scholarship Endowment
The JN Tata Endowment, established in 1892 by the creator of the Tata Group, encourages young Indians to pursue higher education overseas by offering loan scholarships.

Statement of Purpose | It should be addressed to “Trustees of the JN Tata Endowment.” It must clearly reflect the candidate’s objectives and the reason(s) for selecting the particular course. |

3. Inlaks Foundation Scholarship
Young Indians are given Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships to pursue full-time Master’s, MPhil, and Ph.D. programs at prestigious universities in the USA, UK, and Europe.

4. Margaret Basu Scholarship
Scholarships named after Margaret Basu are given to students who are currently nationals of India. For a full-time Master’s program, applicants must be conditionally or unconditionally accepted by LSE.

A former LSE Law Graduate’s gift enabled the Marchant Foundation LLM Scholarship to be created. Indian applicants who are currently residents of India will receive priority consideration.
Applicants with UK and EU fee status will only be taken into consideration if there are no appropriate Indian candidates.

Indian women can receive scholarships from the Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust to study overseas. Candidates must have a track record of excellence in the classroom.
They must apply for admission to reputable overseas universities or obtain admission there. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant job experience.
